What is the Radioactivity Tested & Certified Program?
The Radioactivity Tested & Certified Program (RTCP) is a per lot testing program that analyzes products in order to detect the presence of the principal radionuclides associated with accidents involving nuclear reactors (I-131, Cs-134, Cs-137). The program is designed to address consumer demand for additional safety in products being used or consumed by the general public.

What do we test for?
The RTCP program analyzes 3 radioactive isotopes, Iodine-131, Caesium-134 & Caesium-137. The program tolerance of <50bq/kg total for the three isotopes compares to the European individual tolerances of 150Bq/Kg for Iodine-131, 400Bq/Kg for Caesium-134 and Caesium-137 and FDA tolerances of 170 bq/kg for I-131, and 1200 bq/kg for Cs-134 + Cs-137.
